These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between Vertical Meters UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Gebäude P-E-295, Leopoldstr. 2-8, 32051 Herford, and the user of Exposure: Collage & Scrapbook (in the following referred to as "Exposure"), in the following referred to as "user", "you", "your".

The service

Exposure is an AI-powered content creation application that offers:

Photo management and layout creation
AI-generated text content
Custom layout design tools

Subscription tiers

Free

Text Transformation: not included by default — 3 free tokens let you try Suite-only features, including text transformation, a limited number of times
Layout: Four slides per layout, one layout per moment
Templates: a selection of templates included at no cost; the full template library requires Suite

Exposure Suite

Text Transformation: tone and style text transformation templates, version history of text transformations
Layout: Twenty slides per layout, all integrated Exposure Studio layout functions, multiple layouts per moment, Frame Feature, Templates, Grids
Full template and font library

Data & security

All user data remains locally stored on the user's device. No user content is stored on our servers. Payment processing is handled through Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat using anonymized IDs. We employ industry-standard security measures, including:

End-to-end encryption for data transmission
Compliance with GDPR requirements

Prohibited uses

Users are prohibited from using the service for:

Creation or distribution of hate speech
Planning or promoting criminal activities
Terrorist content or planning
Copyright infringement
Any illegal activities under applicable laws

Subscriptions & payment

Subscription periods: weekly, monthly or annual
Payment processing through the Apple App Store
Pricing and features are subject to change with notice
Cancellation and refunds follow Apple's subscription policies

By using our app and making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing of data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple, as part of our efforts to resolve refund requests. This information may include details about how you have accessed and interacted with the purchased content. The purpose of sharing this data is to help Apple make an informed decision regarding refund requests. We ensure that such data sharing is done in compliance with Apple's policies and only as necessary to process your requests.

Liability

We explicitly disclaim liability for:

AI-generated content accuracy or appropriateness
User-created content and recordings
Service interruptions or data loss
Third-party services or integrations

Content rights

Users retain rights to their original content
AI-generated content usage rights are granted to the user
The app and its service components remain the property of Vertical Meters UG (haftungsbeschränkt)

Account & termination

Subscription cancellation follows Apple's subscription guidelines
Account termination is available through app settings
We reserve the right to terminate accounts for violations of these Terms

Governing law

These Terms are governed by German law. Jurisdiction: courts of Herford. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws may apply.
