It varies by template. Some hold three to four photos, others closer to six, but none require a full month's worth of shots. Fill what you have and leave the rest of the slide as it is, or trim it before export.
Can I use a different template style each month?
Yes. The templates aren't tied to a specific month, so a livelier month can get the postcard-collage look while a quieter one uses the simpler grid.
Does a monthly recap connect to the yearly recap template?
Not automatically, they're separate templates. But because a monthly recap already sorts photos by month, reusing that selection when building the yearly version later is straightforward.
